Hi There,
When I use the shortcode [ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=maryland limit=2], nothing displays. I have confirmed that there are events assigned to this category.
The page the shortcode is currently being used on:

Hi there,
May I ask does anything display there on the page if no parameters in the shortcode? e.g. [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] only?

No, that doesn’t display anything either. I do have shortcodes on other pages on the site that are working correctly, so I know it’s not universal issue.

Can you try adding the shortcode to the main content section of the page? The page looks like it was built using a page builder and some page builders do not parse Event Espresso shortcodes very well.

I tried adding the ticket selector shortcode, and that displays – this doesn’t make any sense?

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS] and [ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR] are different shortcodes that do very different things code wise, so it’s possible that your WordPress theme can potentially conflict with one and not the other. If you temporarily switch to one of the default WordPress themes (like twentyseventeen) does the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode parse correctly?
You can use the theme test drive plugin to test another theme if need be.
