Hello ! We have 2 tickets setup on a single event, and only one person is allowed per registration. I need to be able to send both the registration codes to the event-admin email. I tried playing around with a few shortcodes, but I am only getting the registration code for the first ticket. Can’t figure out what mistake I am making .. ? Thanks, |

Hi Amit, Can you outline which shortcode you’re using that gives you the registration code for the first ticket? That might help us understand your question so we can give you a helpful answer. |

Hi Josh, Let me try to explain what exactly I am doing. May be you can suggest a better way. I have to create an ‘apple wallet pass’ and send that as an attachment in the email to customers. This will be the only email that our registrants get from us for the event. And to generate that, I need the REG_url_link in a json file, with some other info, and that composes the ‘apple wallet pass’. The customer would then bring the apple pass to our events, and we would use the event-espresso mobile apps to scan the customers, and check-in or check-out them. And in order to achieve that, I want to turn off all the EventEspresso-to-Registrant emails, and only have EventEspresso-to-EventAdmin email left ON. Then, I have my own ‘backend job’ that listens for that email, and parses the registration code from the email, generates the apple wallet pass, and attaches to the registrant email, and sends out the email. I tried using [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_REGISTRATION_CODE], and [RECEPIENT_REGISTRATION_CODE], but I am only getting one email at the event-admin email address. I need to get 2 emails for the 2 tickets that the registrant registers. http://events.falconjet.com/events/nbaa This is my event link. Ideally, if there is a shortcode for REG_url_link, that would be perfect for me. I hope that makes sense … ? Thanks, |

Hi Amit, Since you’re not using the Event Espresso-generated emails that get sent to the registrant, and you want one email for each registration, you can re-purpose the Registrant Recipient context message and send that to the event admin. You’ll change the email address in the To: field to go to the event admin, and place the |

Hi Josh, So finally I think I have gotten things to work the way our requirements are. I have one last question. If I generate my own QR Code, from REG_code instead of REG_url_link, the mobile app will be able to scan that QR Code and check-in the registrants ? I tried it out, and it seems to be working, and checking in properly, but I just want to ask you, and confirm. Thanks, |

The 1D barcodes (QR codes are 2D bardcodes) use the REG_code in place of the REG_url_link value as you can fit less data on the 1D barcode than you can on the 2D. So yes, barcodes set to use the REG_code value should work in exactly the same way with the Apps. |

Ahh, I see. So this should work for me. Just as a side note, it would be nice if there were a short-code for the REG_url_link .. ? There might be some folks like me who might need to generate the QR code themselves .. Thanks, |

Whilst I don’t disagree with adding that shortcode, if both values a functionally equivalent (as they are here), I suppose the first question would be what’s wrong with using REG_code? |

Yes, you are right Tony. No point really in having 2 different shortcodes :=) |
