Please help, Event Espresso is not working. I am using Event Espresso version 3.1.30.7L |
Hi Jessica, Can you give a link to the site so we can take a look? Try to rule out any plugin conflicts. Deactivate all non Event Espresso plugins and test to see if the issue is still occurring. If it is not, then we know it is a problem with another plugin. You can then find out which plugin it is by reactivating each plugin individually and testing to see if the problem starts happening after the activation. When it occurs after activating a plugin, then we know this is the culprit. |

The site is The only other plugin I have installed/active is Jetpack which I deactivated and still the same problem. |
Jessica, May we log into your site to have a look? If so, please send us WP Admin credentials through the form on this page: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ |

Jessica, I found the problem. You have several Classes pages created. Although some of them are in the Trash, they still show in the dropdown. You need to either delete the Class pages that are in Trash, or choose the correct one that has the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS]. |

Amazing thank you! |

Hi, There are at least two javascript errors coming from your theme that could be causing the problem, and if not the root of this issue they will definitely cause issues further along, so they need to be resolved. You also have the Page Classes set as the main registration page, but the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode is not on that page, in fact I can’t find it on any page. Please add it to a page and make sure that that page is set in the General Settings. |
|
Could you please be more specific about the javascript errors and how I can fix them? The page Classes has the shortcode [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] and information is in the Genreal Settings Thank you! |
Hi Jessica, The JavaScript errors are: Uncaught TypeError: Property ‘$’ of object [object Object] is not a function These can be fixed by changing the theme to use jQuery in no-conflict mode, we discuss this here: https://eventespresso.com/2012/08/using-jquery-in-safe-mode/ You might also contact your theme’s author for support on how to make the theme better compatible with WordPress theme standards as well. |
