I am unclear on EE and taking payments. If I purchase PayPal Pro as my payment gateway and use EE to purchase a ticket do I still need a shopping cart? I’m having a disconnect.

Hello Mary Ann,
When purchase a Pro version of EE, you will get about 18 different gateways included. You will then enter your Paypal Pro credentials into the settings. When someone registers for an event, they will be taken to the payment page where they can pay using their Paypal account of credit card.
If you are wanting a shopping cart setup, where registrants can add events to a cart, then checkout, you will need the Multiple Event Registration add-on that is included in the Business License.

If I purchase the Business License with the shopping cart setup where registrants can add events to a cart then checkout using the Multiple Event Registration add-on will I be able to display the “view cart” on the top of every page in my WordPress theme?

Hello Mary,
Yes. With the use of some HTML, you can add a link in the pages or text widgets like so: View Cart
If the shopping cart is empty, you will get a message that states, “It looks like you are attempting to refresh a page after completing your registration or your cart is empty. Please go to the events page and try again.”
This message can be changed easily, though.
