Shopping Cart not Appearing when Event is added to Cart

When a visitor adds an Event to their cart the event only appears in the cart after they refresh their browser.

Is there a way to have the cart appear as items are filled OR have the cart just stay on the screen even though it is empty and present items in cart as events are added?

I would like to add I am using Event Espresso 3.1.36.6P.
I am using the Widget for the shopping cart.
