Hi,
this year we had our conference in Germany and we were using Event Espresso for the conference tickets, the currency was in Euro.
Next year the conference will be in Kenya and the currency must be in US dollar. I copied the “old” Germany event to create the new one Kenya event. Now I see that the country code remains on “DE” and I also have doubts about the currency. We need US $, not the Kenya currency. So my first questions: 1. where exactly can I change the country code from “DE” to Kenya and 2, how to make sure that this event should be paid in dollar and also what is the abbreviation for dollar in Event espresso, ist it DOL or? Thanks in advance for your help. Best regards, Mario
Event Espresso uses the currency for the country set in Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Your Organization, so:
1. where exactly can I change the country code from “DE” to Kenya
Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Your Organization.
I assume that address should be set to a Kenya address this year?
Once you set the Country field to Kenya, EE will start using whatever is set as the currency code for Kenya.
You can find that in the ‘Countries’ tab in the same section.
The Currency code for Kenya will be KES with a currency sign of S.
Once you’ve set your country and saved, then go to the countries tab, EE will allow you to change the currency settings for your current country, so you can change the settings to use whatever you prefer…. USD by the sounds of above.
2, how to make sure that this event should be paid in dollar and also what is the abbreviation for dollar in Event espresso, ist it DOL or?
I’ve not heard of DOL? For United States Dollar the currency code would be USD.
This is set in the setting page I mentioned above.
