I have setup conference website I have setup for a ladies conference. There are several issues that I need help with before we launch it.

1. Currently when users complete the personal information, then checkout and select PayPal, then checkout as a Guest using their credit card information, their address from Event Espresso is not being carried over, which my clients need to be emailed after the transaction is complete. How do I fix this? PayPal is saying I need to unblock this somehow?

2. When a PayPal transaction goes through it’s automatically set to failed under Transactions in EE4. I need it to go through and be automatically approved so that my clients don’t have to keep logging into the back-end of WordPress to apply the payment. How can I fix this too?

3. Whenever someone signs up, whether it’s with a check or PayPal, there is no email confirmation that has ALL of the personal information emailed to my clients. They need this information also to keep records of who has registered without always having to login to WordPress. Example: I setup a group ticket for 9 people at a table, when the checkout process is complete, they would like to be emailed an email with all of the attendee’s information of those 9 people. How can I do this?

I really need some help here because I am on a tight deadline and if there is a way to have someone help me one-on-one that would be great, I would pay for it.

Thanks,
-Alex

Hello,

Here is feedback on your questions:

1. Currently when users complete the personal information, then checkout and select PayPal, then checkout as a Guest using their credit card information, their address from Event Espresso is not being carried over, which my clients need to be emailed after the transaction is complete. How do I fix this? PayPal is saying I need to unblock this somehow?

Guest checkout will override the address that is specified in Event Espresso. However, the merchant will still have the original registration information available in the registrations area of Event Espresso.

2. When a PayPal transaction goes through it’s automatically set to failed under Transactions in EE4. I need it to go through and be automatically approved so that my clients don’t have to keep logging into the back-end of WordPress to apply the payment. How can I fix this too?

This relies on the PayPal IPN to work correctly: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-set-up-paypal-ipn/

This can be enabled by adding some shortcodes to the registration approved message type.

Login to the WordPress dashboard. Then go to Event Espresso –> Messages –> Registration Approved. From here click on Event Admin for the Registration Approved Message type.

This will take you to the messages editor. Scroll down and you’ll see the field for the Attendee_List shortcode:

Now add the following shortcodes just after the Attendee Name and then save changes:

  • [ADDRESS]
  • [ADDRESS_2]
  • [CITY], [ADDRESS_STATE], [ZIP_PC]
  • [COUNTRY]

Here is the end result:

Hi,

It needs to be added to the Attendee_List area which appears just under the Event_List area (move them to the box below where they are currently located).

Hi Lorenzo,

I finally got that working but only for using the payment method as a “Cheque”. I tested the registration with a valid PayPal signup, enabled the IPN, and I didn’t get an email with the attendee registration details.

What do I need to do to fix that?

I REALLY REALLY need some help here because I am on a deadline. Is there a # I can call or chat with someone. PLEASE HELP!!

How long does it take for them to call me? This is extremely urgent, esp for $70…
