What i am seeking in doing in the near future, is hosting health and fitness related events. 5k runs, obstacle courses, marathons, etc. For the first 3-4 months I will be featuring other event organizers health and fitness events i would like to know if event expresso would allow me to assign premium users(fee applies to the user) so they may use my site to list their events. *Very important I would also like to charge a convenience fee for every ticket sold through my site to make event purchases. When featuring other event orgaznizers events i would like to sell their tickets and also charge a convenience fee. How would payment processing work, for example if a marathon runner buys a ticket for him and three friends how would the payment system work since i am not the person organizing the event? How would the convenience charge work? also i know i can charge a flat rate beforehand for people listing events, if event organizers would like to sell event tickets and customers begin making multiple ticket purchases at multiple event venues, is there a way to regulate which funds are going to what event organizer, and if and how i would receive convenience fee for using my site to make purchases. Within 6 months i will also begin featuring my own events. Once i begin featuring my own events, i would like to print tickets at various price levels, price levels will increase as the event date nears. I understand that Event Expresso allows for the last two above sentences now my question is the release event expresso 4 will there be a business license released for this version, what if i purchase the event expresso 4 and would like to upgrade to business license when it finally releases, will i be able to purchase the business license at a discounted rate or at the difference in price of what i had spent on the event expresso 4?

Hi Ramiro, What you have described sounds like an event planning marketplace. Unfortunately, this is not supported at this time but I’ll try to answer your additional questions. Event Espresso 4 which is currently in beta supports the following payment gateways: Invoice, Authorizenet AIM, Bank Draft, Check, PayPal Pro, and PayPal Standard. If you were to enable PayPal Standard for payments, then that account holder would receive all payments. The same would apply if you used a service like Authorizenet AIM. At this time, you cannot send funds to different accounts with a single payment processor. EE4 does support surcharges and discounts. These are a way to adjust the price for a ticket on a line item basis: http://cl.ly/image/3o2x2g1z411J. The surcharges are also useful for showing an administrative fee / convenience fee during registration. You’ll be able to update to a business license by paying a pro-rated amount. Let me know if this helps! — |
