Theres almost too much functionality for this – I have two very simple needs for a reoccurring event – there is a need for 2 people to greet people at the door every Friday night. |
Hi there, You would likely need a single event for each Friday, the admin registrations list can then be used to see how signed up for that specific event or you can add the [ESPRESSO_EVENT_ATTENDEES] shortcode to the event description to include a list within the event itself if you want ot on the front end. Can you explain further on what you mean by open ended please? Do you mean open-ended registrations? (Registering allows access to any instance of multiple dates) or something else? |

Since I post this – I discovered that EE4 decaf actually has a built in recurring event function built into it. You give it a date range for how many months you want to have the event – in this case an “every Friday” event that is creates. I’m still having issues with figuring out whether EE4 decaf can coexist with EE3 on the same site, as I’m having issues with the form/template to actually sign up. |
EE4 Decaf does not have any recurring event functionality built in so I’m not sure what your using here. Do you mean multiple datetimes? Can you post a screenshot? Are you sure you don’t mean EE3 with the Recurring event manager add-on?
No, it can not. You can have either EE3 or EE4 activated on the site, not both. |

How do I post screenshot? |

Somewhere along the line we appear to have been “upgraded” to a full ver 4.9 |
For screenshots you’ll need to host the image and post a link here, we have some options here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots |

Two screenshots are here: |
The screenshots posted don’t show Event Espresso, this one – http://take.ms/n7JwS Is not EE, it’s something else adding that ‘Events’ section to your site, possible another Events plugin or your theme. This screenshot – http://take.ms/6PZ9N Shows the EE tag line and includes your current EE version, but if you look at the admin menu you’ll see ‘Event Espresso’ in its own section, that’s where your EE events can be created. |
