Hi,

How do I set the timezone for my event espresso installation?
The State/Province and Country under General Settings is set to the appropriate country (Singapore), as is the WordPress installation.

The registrations still follow UTC time.

Hi!

This should be using the settings that are set in WordPress General Settings.

What format do you have set for the time format?

Hi,

The time format is in “g:i a”; 4:57 am for example.
Switching between this and other time formats did not change the time on registrations though, it only affects the display.

Hi,

After testing the general wordpress settings, the timezone is indeed affected by the general wordpress settings. But, UTC +8 has been set to UTC 0; setting the timezone in general wordpress settings to UTC +14 changes the timezone to UTC +6 on eventespresso.

Please assist.

Hello,

Are you using UTC time settings in WordPress settings? If so, could you please select Singapore and then save changes.

Hello,

I selected Singapore and saved. Still shows the wrong time.

Hello again,

I ran some testing on this by setting my timezone to Singapore and the time shown on the registration was correct (for Singapore):

Tuesday May 27, 2014 1:29:39 am

Are there any other plugins running on the site? If so, could you temporarily deactivate all plugins and reactivate Event Espresso and test again?

One more thing — all registrations are stored in the database via UTC. They are then adjusted based on the timezone that is selected in WordPress.

Could you confirm that you are looking at the registrations screen in the WordPress admin?

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for this.

The wordpress general setting is set as Singapore (take note of the UTC time and local time): http://imgur.com/adNiIyi,qaKlxSw#0

And it is the registration screen I am looking at, latest registration being a test for local vs UTC time. The test time is not local time, but UTC time. Disabling all other plugins does not help. The theme is twenty-fourteen, the default wordpress theme for 3.9.x

The server and system time is by default in/set to Singapore, if it makes any difference.

Let me know if you would like to see it for yourself.

I can provide you with an account, if you would let me know an email I can send it to.

Hello,

I’m checking with the development team on this.

Are you locating within the Singapore timezone or in a different location?

Hi there,

Could you please create a temporary WordPress admin login so we can take a closer look at this issue?

Please share that temporary login through the secure link below:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

To prevent delays in troubleshooting, be sure to double check your information on the form before submitting.

The submit button for the form appears after you have answered “Yes” to the last question.

Thanks

Lorenzo
