“However I have previously built a plugin that creates 2 roles that may help you here, one role is ‘Event Organizer’ which can create and edit their own events, registration, transactions etc. The other role is ‘Events Manager’ this user has the same access as the Administrator does for Event Espresso but it does not have access to any other section of WordPress”.
-> I have just installed the plugin, and have switched one of the course authors to ‘Event Organiser’ role. With this done, I would now expect that the event organiser could login and also have aces to the backend to just see the courses they have authored.
However, they only have the same front end access as a normal subscriber?? What might I be doing wrong?
My site has Learndash and Buddypress installed. If I go to /wp-admin it takes me to the standard user login / registration page. You can see at http://www.cwssa.cn
That’s not the ‘standard user login’ for WordPress.
/wp-admin/ takes you to https://cwssa.cn/registration-page/
Which allows the user to sign in or register and that’s a custom page.
So something on your site is checking for specific roles/capabilities to allow the user access to the admin and the role I create doesn’t have whatever it is it is checking for.
Have you had some custom work done by a developer?
