I want to set our limit for numbers at the point of registration, not for once they have been approved. How do I change my settings to do this? IE if 400 people register and that is our set limit, I want that to be the limit, not after they pay as we are offering a delyed payment option also. Is it possible to do this, or is the limit only applicable once they have been approved?

Hi, there is an attendee pre-approval option that is available in the regular version of Event Espresso 3. It can be found in the event editor:

https://eventespresso.com/features/admin-pre-approval/

Then set the default payment status to pending through the general settings page for Event Espresso:

Thanks Lorenzo. We need other features of 4 to create multiple priced tickets in one booking etc, so won’t work for us to use version 3

Hi,

Set the “Default Registration Status” in the event to Approved. This will mark registrations towards the capacity but the transaction will still be outstanding.

You may want to make this fact clear in any emails sent to the client in case they look at the Approved notice and think everything is completed.
