We are getting permission errors on the temporary session files. I do not know for what purpose event espresso uses these files but they are causing a problem on our web hosting computer. We have several web sites hosted on that computer and for security purposes cgi scripts are run under different users. Apache itself runs under a different user of “nobody”.
I found that the temporary session files created by event espresso sometimes have the owner of the cgi script user and sometimes the owner of “nobody”. This tells me this tells me that event espresso is sometimes using apache to access the files. This does not work for our system. It should be changed.
May I ask what exactly should be changed? Is it the way your server is switching users? Event Espresso doesn’t have control over the user permissions its given, that’s something that’s configured at the server level.
