Good afternoon,

We have a problem with a contact form on our website. Our provider noticed this error every time they clicked the sent button.

[Mon Jun 22 14:51:24.723355 2020] [error] [pid 113456] mod_proxy_fcgi.c(860): [client 217.21.177.70:54815] AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /data/sites/web/despyldernl/subsites/despylder.nl/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/modules/core_rest_api/EED_Core_Rest_Api.module.php on line 203’

Do you have an idea what is going on?

Kind regards, Jolanda

Hi there,

The error is showing you site is running out of memory at 40MB, that’s a fairly small amount of memory and I recommend using at least 96MB.

You can do that by adding something like:

define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '96M');

To your site’s wp-config.php file.

Hello Tony,
In the controlpanel of our provider I changed the memory limit in the php-settings to 128 MB, which solved this problem.
Thank you very much for your help.
Kind regards, Jolanda

Yeah, that’ll work too 🙂

You’re most welcome and I’m glad it is now working for you.
