Hello, As you are probably already aware, the yoast seo plugin doesn’t show up when creating an event on Event Espresso. I have followed the steps from a previous post where is says to make a plugin with some code. This does solve the problem however it messes with the layout of event espresso on the back-end. Please see attached photo. |

Hello, The Yoast SEO settings do not currently appear in the event editor. However, having it activated should not break anything in the event editor. Are you using the latest version at 3.0.7? — |
Hi, I am using the latest EE4 version. |

Hi, go ahead and remove any edits you may have added earlier. Again, you won’t see any of the Yoast SEO settings in the event editor. However, you should be able to use Yoast SEO on the same site as Event Espresso 4. Are you using the latest version of Yoast SEO at 3.0.7? I have the latest version of Yoast and Event Espresso 4 running and I’m not seeing any conflicts: http://cl.ly/3p021f3F1z09 –> http://cl.ly/2X1t1E1C0y0u If it still doesn’t work, then please export your Yoast SEO settings and then share them here so I can load them up on a testing site and check. You can share the file via Dropbox, TinyGrab, Cloudapp, Cloudup, etc. Thanks! — |

Hi, When using the custom plugin as suggested in the forums, the yoast box appears on when creating/editing an event. There is no problem here. As seen in the screenshot in my 1st post, the issues happens where you click ‘events’ on the event espresso tab (where you see an overview of all the events). |
Hello, This does not happen on any of my testing sites that are running the latest version of Event Espresso 4 and Yoast SEO. What happens if you deactivate all plugins and reactivate only Event Espresso 4? Does it then work? And if you reactivate Yoast SEO, does it break or still show the events overview screen as expected? — |
The Yoast SEO plugin itself doesn’t cause the problem, it it the custom plugin created that is causing the problem so that yoast metabox shows when creating an event. |
Hi there, Is this the code you are using? You can add another conditional there to make sure Yoast only loads on pages with the action variable set, try this: That should prevent Yoast from loading on the main page, but continue to do so on the create/edit pages. |
Perfect! Thanks Tony. |

Hi again, Not sure if it’s the yoast causing this but I cannot click on the settings cog, add datetime or create ticket under the ‘event tickets & datetimes’ metabox. Not sure what’s causing this. |
Yes it is an issue with Yoast. I’ve created a ticket requesting some feedback from our developers on this, however I suspect this is something Yoast will need to fix rather than EE. |
Hi, Can you suggest an SEO plugin that will work with EE? Thanks |
Many of the plugins listed in these search results should work: |
