Hi All I’m adding – [INVOICE_LINK] and have tried – [INVOICE_URL] to the message but when it sends it’s adding – http://dummyinvoicelinksforpreview.com/ as the link. It does this in the test email (probably expected) but also if I resend registration details under Registrations. Scratching my head. Thanks in advance for your help. Regards Mark |

As an addition when in the Event Event Espresso – Registrations if I click view transactions invoice it opens a new page but just loads the Event Espresso – Registrations page again. It doesn’t show an invoice. Thanks again. |

Hi there, Previews and test emails use dummy data so it’s expected that the links won’t work in those. Resending a registration shouldn’t be using the dummy link though, can you doule check if that’s using a dummy link or does it look valid but then doesn’t load anything? If you go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message Templates Look in the list there (note there may be multiple pages of templates) can you see the Invoice and Receipt templates listed there? |

Hi Tony Thanks for coming back so quickly. Checking the Default Message Templates we only have 12 and no Invoice and Receipt Templates. If I click view transactions invoice on the registrations page it opens a new page but just loads the Event Espresso – Registrations page again. It doesn’t show an invoice. Have I not set up correctly? |

We are currently using Version 4.10.8.p |

If you don’t have an Invoice message type enabled then there will be no invoice link to generate, which likely explains why your getting the dummy links. Go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Settings. Under the HTML section, do you have Invoice in the Active section (on the left)? I’m guessing its on the right in the inactive section, if so drag if back over to be in the active section. You can’t use invoices (or receipts) if they have been set to be inactive. If the are in the active section, drag them over to be inactive, wait a couple of seconds for the ajax request to complete and then drag them back (this makes sure your settings are in sync with your templates). Go back to the default message template list and confirm if you have at leave Invoice in that list. If so, test an Invoice link again. |

Hi Tony, thanks so much sir, yes the reset worked. The message templates are there now. All good. |

Great, I’m glad that worked. Any further issues just please us know. |
