Hi Omar,

Different message templates based on the selected payment method is not currently available with Event Espresso.

You can assigned different templates per event, but not per payment method.

Hi Omar, you can’t assign different templates per payment option (e.g. one for PayPal and one for another like Stripe).

However, you can setup custom templates through Event Espresso –> Messages –> Custom Message Templates.

Then these can be assigned to an event through the event editor. The notifications area appears at the end of the event editor. Switch a specific message type from the global option to the custom message type and then save changes to the event through the event editor.

That’s pretty crazy. I don’t understand how a transaction platform doesn’t even have the capability to manage this very basic request.

Anyway, can you please tell me how to customize the “Request Pending Email”? When I go to my plugin under wordpress and I try customizing the “Request Pending Email” under messages it’s not the same request pending email I get when I test a transaction…

Hi Omar, could you double check the name of the message type? Could you confirm that you are referring to the Registration Pending Payment email?

Hi Lorenzo- the exact subject line of the email I am receiving when I test an order is:Registration Pending Payment

In wordpress I went to event espresso> messages> Registration Pending Payment. But the Registration Pending Payment template in wordpress is not the same email template I receive after testing a transaction…

That’s pretty crazy. I don’t understand how a transaction platform doesn’t even have the capability to manage this very basic request.

Currently the emails are based on the events and the registrations, not the payment methods. The information needed to make a payment for a specific payment method is provided when selecting that payment method, most users have no need for the additional emails this would create (we have had very few requests for this feature).

In wordpress I went to event espresso> messages> Registration Pending Payment. But the Registration Pending Payment template in wordpress is not the same email template I receive after testing a transaction…

Are you editing the correct ‘context‘?

When you click to edit the template, select the ‘Event Admin’ from the dropdown and click ‘Switch Recipient’ – http://take.ms/Uexk5

If you wish to edit the message sent to the registrant, select Primary Registrant and switch again.
