Selling tickets after an event has started

On my website we’re selling tickets to events that consist of multiple classes over a weekend. Tickets to each class are sold separately, so people can chose exactly what they want to come to. The weekends themselves are repeating, but the individual classes change from month to month.

At the moment I have the weekends setup as one event (we have multiple different types of weekends, and an event for each), with a different datetime for each reoccurrence. Each class then has its own ticket, which is assigned to the datetime that the class is occurring. So, for example, we might have six classes over two days, one at 10 am, one at 1 pm, and one at 3 pm, all with individual tickets that are assigned to an event datetime that spans the whole weekend (I put class times and details in the ticket name).

All of this works just fine, but my only concern is that once the event starts tickets might become unavailable, and I don’t want someone to not be able to buy a ticket on Saturday morning to a class that’s on Sunday afternoon. So I basically want to check what will happen under this circumstance, and if there’s anything I need to do to make sure that it works out.

Hi Cypher,

You can adjust the date for which a ticket option is available for sale via the event editor. If the event date time is ahead of the end date for a ticket option, then they will still be able to purchase a ticket.
