Second ticket type of datetime only available after first type has been selected

We’ve just completed our event, but had a problem, wonder if you could help.

For our event, we had 3 x event datetimes and each of these had 2 x ticket types associated with it. The first was an admission ticket and the second was a ticket to buy and then to exchange for (the prepaid) drinks tokens on the door.

The problem was, some people presumed that the prepaid drinks token ticket gained you entry as well. So, they turned up having not bought an admission ticket.

Would it be possible for me to rearrange the way the event is setup next year, so that the availability of the drinks tokens ticket is not available until 1 or more admission ticket has been bought for that event datetime?

Hi Dee,

If you arrange the event so that each date is its own event, then the Admission ticket can be set to “This ticket is required”. Each event can then offer additional drinks tokens.

Another approach would be to use the price modifier add-on to see the drinks tokens. The add-on is available from a third-party developer:
