Hi,
I want to get Event Espresso for a single site, and I see that’s $179.I also need the seating chart add-on. I see that’s $249.Am I correct that the add-on costs more than the basic program??Can you please tell me how much it would be to have both? Thanks!

I see you purchase the Business License. Are you still looking into the Seating Chart? I can give you a long answer about the price of the Seating Chart Add-on if you still want more information.

Thanks for the reply.
We went ahead and made the purchase of the business licence and the Seathing Chart plug-in, but I would love the long answer anyway 🙂
I realize it’s listed for sale as (alpha) —never seen that before on a commercially available product where one doesn’t have to sign up to beta test first.
Regardless, I took the risk and made the purchase because I’m familiar with the quality of EventEspresso’s work, and needed to get somethng up for a client to demo. The instructions, descriptions & examples need some work, which I’m sure you’re aware. Still, I’m curious about the pricing. Thanks.

The reason for the higher price is two fold:
1) we have a lot of money in the current functionality that does work in general use-cases. We don’t have a lot of people using that plugin yet so we have to charge a higher rate so we can fund future developments. We have plans to make it easier to create a seating chart based on your event graphic… If we have more people using the seating chart then we can probably lower the price.
2) the current seating chart program sometimes requires a lot of support from our staff. We’re certainly willing to help however we can, but it’s a rather complex request for a WordPress plugin. Event the large-scale competitors don’t have seating chart functionality so we’re biting off a lot.
Again, we want to provide this functionality to those who need it. The seating chart add-on isn’t perfect but we have good plans for it and you’ll receive those benefits with an active support license.
We’d love to hear your feedback as you set it up and start using it.
