I’m a non-developer working with a new installation on WP 3.6. and am trying to set up events. When I click on ‘Appearance’ then ‘Menu’, I see “Event List’ and ‘Venue List’ neither of which I can click on/select. According to documentation, I should also be able to click on Screen Options tab and see options I’d like to appear. However, clicking on Screen Options doesn’t bring up anything.

Hi Janis,

The current version of WordPress is 3.8.1. Did you recently start working on this site and it came with version 3.6?

Could you temporarily deactivate all plugins and reactivate only Event Espresso?

Then return to the Event Espresso screen to see if the options load correctly.

I deactivated all other plugins, and returned to the screen to find the following:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_nav_menu_disabled_check() in /home/content/89/10052289/html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg1/core/admin/EE_Admin.core.php on line 354

I should also mention that as part of the activating/de-activating plug-ins, I discovered that the Espresso API Plug-in caused part of my customized WordPress theme to disappear! The API needs to be de-activated for my website’s main page to function properly.

Hi Janis,

Could you create and share a temporary WordPress admin login so I can take a closer look at this issue for you?

Then share that temporary information securely through this link:

Lorenzo, I upgraded to WP 3.8.1 today and it fixed the Screen Options Tab issue I was having. However, when activating the API Plug-In, it still disables part of my customized theme.

HI Janis,

Which version of the API plugin is installed?

The API is Version 2.1.

Hi Janis,

Did you send your login details? If not could you please send them? If we can take a closer look it’s likely we can figure out what is happening, as the API plugin should not cause a theme to fail.

Please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level and FTP details are appreciated.

Hi Janis,

I’ve received your temporary login. Thank you.

We’ll continue working on this issue privately. You should receive an update to your email shortly.

Cheers

Lorenzo
