Great work on the Schema / Microdata / Rich Snippets implementation. It’s exactly what we’ve been waiting for. Thank you so much.

Quite excited to check Google Webmaster Tools to see how the site has been indexed… and was a little bit sad/confused to see soo many errors.

Google Webmaster Tools Screenshot

They’re all basically TWO errors.

Missing “author” and missing “updated”

3 with “hatom” which seems to be the category listings of events
and 63 on “hentry” which seems to be every page.

I’m off to read up on what they are… (yey what a Friday night for me!) but wondering if there’s just something really simple that we’ve missed or not filled in properly.

Any ideas, hints or tips would be excellent.

Thanks a lot.
D

Looking at the Google Structured Data Testing Tool – it comes back with ZERO errors and ZERO warnings, despite the fact that Google Webmaster Tools comes back with loads.

Hi there,

The errors that you’re seeing are actually coming from micro data generated by the WordPress theme. The only structured data for events that Event Espresso adds is output as JSON-LD on single event pages.
