Hi there,

Which device are you using?

What is the registration status for the registrations you are scanning the QR codes for?

Does it show any details about the registration or just show ‘registration denied’?

it says that reg status is approved but then shows a large red exclaimation mark saying registration is denied.

All being done on iphone

it appears that i can check people in manually on the app

When you are scanning the ticket, which mode are you using?

At the bottom of the screen you’ll see ‘Lookup’, ‘Continuous’, ‘Check-in only’.

I’ll need to take a look at the requests being sent and the response received from the server to see what is happening here. The fact that you can manually check the users in means you can POST to the server (which is what the app is doing) so its odd that one works whilst the other does not.

If you can send temp login details using this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

I’ll take a look and see if anything stands out.

Have you tested this when logging into the app as an administrator?

The account provided doesn’t have full access to Event Espresso so it looks like some of the data the app is expected on the request is missing and therefore the app throws the invalid registration error.

What capabilities have you set on the current account?

i’ll try that now- what role would they need? It is set up as an event administrator curently

no, still doesnt work if logged in as administrator

Its not the role but the capabilities, however an admin account would have all so if it’s failing with that it’s not a cap issue.

Can you install the WP REST API log plugin:

https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-rest-api-log/

And either upgrade the account you provided so I can view those or send over temp admin credentials so I can take a look.

Actually, to test this properly I’ll need a temp admin account to compare the response.

I did some digging into the current response with the account sent and the transaction, ticket and reg status are missing, all of those will be required for the check-in to work via a scan (the manual check-in is a different request specifically for check-in).

Hi there,

I hope you are well. I can see here that you haven’t replied to our last message. Were you able to make the QR scanning to work for your event?

Thank you!
Hazel
