Hi

Its great that the ticket purchasing process is broken down into two stages and allows us to capture the registration details for the tickets BEFORE purchase.

Is there a way to integrate this with a message to ‘save the sale’? Mainly because we want to minimise any abandoned carts/orders.

Hi, could you explain more on what you are trying to do?

Your registrant/attendee information is captured as soon as they submit their contact information (e.g. name and email).

You can see them in Event Espresso –> Transactions. Then look for the abandoned link and click on it. There will be a send a payment reminder button in the top right area of the next page:

Thanks, yes I’ve spotted the send payment reminder manually.

Is it possible to send the reminders automatically if the customer has not completed their order? The mailchimp integration only lets me add one list 🙁

Essentially, if a customer adds their registration details but doesn’t complete the order… I’d like to (automatically the next day) send them a reminder to tell them they can still complete the order.

We are going to work on that feature later this year after 4.9 is released.

For now, it’s easy to go to Registrations > Select or Filter the Pending Payment registrations, and bulk notify them:

bulk notify

That way you can do this each day if you want until that automated message add-on is available.

Note that the above method that Garth mentioned will trigger the ‘Registration Pending Payment’ message and not the Payment Reminder.

The Registration Pending Payment message includes a link the user can make a payment with, however I just wanted to make you aware that it would be that message.

Thats great. I’ve rebranded the correct pages and will do it manually for now. Just noticed that its been more common recently and conversions to save abandoned carts seem to improve with a simple email followup.

Thanks

You’re most welcome.

We do understand the need to follow up with those user and are working on including a message type to allow for this.
