Good Morning,
We have planned an event with an attendance of approximately 4000 people. Most people already come with their registration done and they only need to scan the entrance for access, but many people come directly to the event without previously registering and we registered them there.
Normally we have six laptops with their respective event expresso users to check in at the event door and a similar number of mobile phones to scan tickets.
The question is whether we can use the same user on the laptop to make records and, at the same time, scan tickets from the mobile application, or if it is preferable, given the large number of attendees, generate users that are only used for scanning and, therefore, do not combine the same user on both platforms. Thank you.
Power can be done, we have already done it in other smaller events. The question is in this case that we calculate that at the same time we will have to scan around 3000 entries in the mobile application and generate about 1000 records in the EE control panel on laptops, so we said, if it was better to use different users for each function
I don’t think it would make a difference if you used multiple user accounts or just one user account. That said, you might prefer to use multiple user accounts so you can manage a specific user’s permissions. e.g. you may want to give someone access to the app only and not give them full access to the WordPress dashboard. In which case a separate user account could allow that.
