In my scenario, I have one event with weekly tickets, with the option to purchase tickets for multiple attendees for one or more weeks.
When filling in the registration forms, I would like to only enter the attendee details in once.
For one single attendee, this is OK – using the built-in “Use Attendee #1’s information for ALL attendees” feature.
When there are two or more, would it be possible to (by default) use the entered attendee details for the first ticket for all tickets, unless selected otherwise?
i.e. A tickbox, which is already ticked, that says “Use these attendee details for all tickets in this transaction”.
Similarly, is it possible to toggle whether or not the “Use Attendee #1’s information for ALL attendees” tick box is ticked by default?
This would work similarly to the standard way e-commerce sites say “Use this address as my billing address” for delivery/billing details.
The way that the “Use Attendee #1’s information for ALL attendees” tick box works is the form field inputs get copied at the moment that the box is ticked. So if the box was ticked by default when you load the page, nothing would actually get copied over. Does that help explain what’s going on there?
Ideally, for my implementation, if someone buys multiple tickets, only one box will appear for the attendees details; with an option to split this out ONLY if required into individual attendees.
Similarly, if multiple tickets AND multiple attendees, only show one attendee form each, with an option to split these out into individual attendees per ticket, if required.
Currently Event Espresso 4 doesn’t differentiate between a ticket and a registration for an attendee. What you are describing is only possible with some custom development.
