I’ve implemented the Sagepay payment gateway but I need to use 3D secure. Is this possible?

Hi James, the SagePay payment method does not support 3d secure at this time.

Are there any plans to enable it for SagePay? Do any other payment gateways that you have support 3D Secure?

Hi James, this isn’t currently scheduled and no other payment gateways support 3D secure at this time.

Well, that’s landed me in a whole lot of trouble with the client! You guys need to write a 3D Secure option into your plug-in. SagePay recommend Elavon for Internet Merchant IDs and they stipulate that 3DS is mandatory for all transactions. So your add-on is useless at the moment. You need to make this crystal clear on your site so others don’t experience the same embarrassing problem with their clients.
I see that Mijireh have SagePay as one of their gateways. Do you know if this would work as an alternative.

Hi James, sorry for any confusion. If there is a place that we mention that 3D secure is available, then please let us know and we’ll definitely check into it.
I’m not sure if 3d secure if available through the Sagepay option for Mijireh so I’ve sent them a message asking about it. I’ll update this support post once I hear back.

No, you don’t mention anywhere it won’t work with 3D Secure. That’s my point! You need to mention on your site that it doesn’t support 3D Secure and so won’t work with Elavon – SagePay’s preferred partner for Internet Merchant IDs – or any other Internet merchant ID issuers that insist on 3D Secure payments.
Yes, I’ve also discovered that Mijireh support 3D Secure payments.
What a crazy situation!
