Hi, Oh masters of all things EE4….. HELP! I spent two days converting to a new theme, was so proud of my work…. Only to find out that when my customers now got to the ee4 registration checkout page, nothing shows up! Going back to the old theme works fine, but EE4 has a conflict with the new Layers theme. I contacted the theme creator and we ran through some exercises, but they have given up and said to contact EE4. The problem is that the checkout registration page is blank. I currently have the site with WP_DEBUG true, but with debug on, it won’t throw up the pop up to go to the checkout page. You can see it here: Can you please tell me what I can do to resolve this conflict? THANKS!!!!!! |
Hi Denise, I’m afraid I can’t get that far even, quite possibly because of the debug information being output to the screen. Do things work if you deactivated WP_DEBUG. Is there a URL where we can download a copy of the theme so we can look at the code? Usually we can find where the theme is doing it wrong if we can have a look at its code. |

September 22, 2017 at 12:50 pm It won’t let me email. Here is the google drive link. Let me know if you can access it there. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzAxINH6QQBuaVdPM01rUHhhWVU/view?usp=sharing |
This looks like an easy fix. Can you go to the registration-checkout page and edit it, and in Page Attributes switch to one of the following Templates: Apparently the default template from the Layers theme doesn’t allow parsing shortcodes. You might also need to switch the page templates for the Event Espresso Thank You, Transactions, and Cancelled registration pages too. The quick way to go to edit these pages is you go to Event Espresso > General Settings > Critical Pages, then click through to edit links there next to each page listed. |

All of the above WORKED!!!!! THANK YOU! |
