I purchased EE a few years ago, paid for 2 years, but never got it up and running because it was too complicated at that time and I ran into tons of problems with it. So I let my ticket lapse. Just a few months ago I bought a new support license and am trying again, eternally optimistic that EE had gotten better and I smarter. Sigh.
Well. I’ve spent hours on the thing… trying to master it and all… and I need some help making sure it is all set up and working correctly, including the payment portion…
I wish you had a dummy registration feature!
Anyway I am hoping you’ll do a run thorugh to make sure all is OK and working well before I broadcast that this the event is live and ready to go for registrants.
I responded to your support token but just wanted to add some info here for future readers.
Creating ‘dummy registrations’ within Event Espressso is possible simply by registering onto an event as a regular attendee would. You can run through all of the steps a regular attendee would (include payments using a test account with your payment provider) and see exactly the same as your registrants would do.
Those test registration can then eiter have the registration status set to ‘cancelled’ (or anything other than ‘Approved’ so they no longer apply to the event or if you prefer you can delete the payments from within the transaction and completely remove the registration from Event Espresso all together.
There are a few more steps involved in this (Event Espresso won’t allow you to just delete a registration and remove all the relevant data as a precaution to accidentally removing attendees) but we can provide further details if necessary.
I’d be happy to help with any further questions you may have on this.
