However, I had a do a work-around. The code displayed ALL the events, even the ones that has expired. So I had to update all the events as “draft.” I don’t want to delete them because I make need them again.
Also, I want to have different categories of events displayed on various pages. How do we do that? Currently, the code displays ALL events.
The shortcode [psc_print_post_slider_carousel] looks like it is from the Post Sliders & Post Grids which will be using its own query.
Does that plugin apply a filter to the query args it uses? If so you can hook into the query and change it so that it excludes expired events.

Same as above here, if the plugin allows you to hook into the query args then you can set this up, otherwise we have no other way of knowing which query to filter.
You’re going to need some custom code for this either way and the above plugin may not be suitable if it does not have any filters.
