When I first started getting complaints I ran to my computer and checked for myself but did not see the issue my users were complaining about. At this point though, it has become apparent that this is an on going issue

I have every night at each Sacramento nightclub featured. New users are able to use the system and submit on all events without issue.

PROBLEM
User: – Hey Jonathan can you add me to the list the website won’t let me
Response: Why won’t it let you? Can you take a screen shot?
User: screen shot “this event has expired or no longer available.
Response: could you please try another nightclub event on Saturday and see if you have the same issue.
User: I tried 3 others and all 3 gave me the same error. I will just text you names

Why is this happening to only returning users? And why can’t I she the issue? I tried logging in from different devices and have yet to see the issue myself. But all my USERS cannot be wrong. Please help!

Hi there,

Can you post links to the events that they are trying to sign up for so we can investigate?

I just asked one of my users to check againand she says it is happening whenever she clicks on the register link on any event, it doesn’t take her to the registration form, instead she immidiately gets the “this event has expired or no longer available” error http://www.socialitevip.com/sacramentoevents/

Hi,

This issue was reported earlier this year:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/this-event-has-expired-or-is-no-longer-available-2/

After taking a look at your WordPress dashboard, we found that it was pointing to deleted events which would explain why the unavailable message is appearing. Another possible cause would be old caching files (remains even if a caching plugin is inactive).

Caching works differently for logged-in members than public visitors.

Are there cache_ or advanced_cache files in the following location (you can check with a free SFTP or FTP client like FileZilla or Cyberduck)?

wp-content/

Maybe you can find out from them which page they are clicking on that has the expired events. The page you linked to lists events that are not expired. I went through and registered for a few of them. Older events like these ones will not let you register for them because they have already happened:

http://www.socialitevip.com/event-registration/?ee=1150
http://www.socialitevip.com/event-registration/?ee=1154

Other events like this one (which are listed) are not open for registration yet:

http://www.socialitevip.com/event-registration/?ee=1375

If you want people to be able to sign up for events like the 1375 one, you’ll need to change the registration start date that’s set up for it.
