Return to site and complete registration

This is a recreation of a problem we encountered.

A client bought two tickets but indicated in a text box they intended to purchase four. On the Attendee Data page under Attendee Ticket Fee we changed the number from 2 to 4. The invoice then showed a balance due.

We clicked the view/edit payment link which took us to the Attendee Payment Record where we created a custom email under Invoice/Payment Reminder. Within the email it says: ‘Please visit [payment_url] to view your payment options’.

In the email received by the client it says ‘Please visit View Your Payment Details to view your payment options’ and the link goes to the Payment Confirmation Page: https://www.ipainttoday.com/thank-you/?r_id=414-54a1b53288594. This page does not give the client the ability to make an additional payment.

If we generate an invoice and send by email to the client, the link that says Pay Online goes to the payment confirmation page as well.

How does a client return to the website and complete their registration and/or make payment?

Hi Jerry,

Can you go into Event Espresso > General Settings and look under “Advanced Features” for a setting that says “Show payment options for “Pending Payments” on the Payment Overview page?”. You can set that to Yes to allow payment from the return page.

Is there a way to NOT send the registration confirmation email and ONLY send the payment confirmation email. I seem to be struggling with this!

Hi Jerry,

In EE3, what you can do is disable the payment confirmation email, and set the registration confirmation email to get sent after payment. This will in effect only send one email out after payment.
