Hello.

BACKGROUND: I have read on the forum that it’s a good idea to use an email service like MailChimp for event-wide notifications to attendees. However, I have configured my installation so that individual Camp Directors can only see the events to which they are assigned the Author Role, and we would rather not give them access to our MailChimp service. The Directors only send very basic text email, but still, in preparation, I increased my PHP’s max timeout to 300 seconds, and limited my filtered Registration List page to 50 items in “Approved” status.

ISSUE: After sending to all 50 on the page, EE sends me back to the Registration List, but fails to retain my “Approved” status filter. I would prefer not set my displayed registrations to 200, so is there a way to retain the filtered status so that I can just click the button to display the next page, then copy and send the email to those registrants?

Hi,

I’m afraid there isn’t a way to do that. With regards to the limits and timeouts, do you have “Generate and send all messages:” set to send on the same request? If so, you could change that setting (in Event Espresso > Messages > Settings) to Send on separate request. This will make it so the messages get processed then sent on separate requests which should avoid the timeouts on most servers.

Okay. I’ll make sure it’s set as you described. Thanks for the prompt reply Josh!
