Hi there – so we are mirroring our current site for various reasons and we did a migration and will add a new license key for the new project. Question is that obviously the migration carried over the database tables with all the data from the prior site EE system. Is there a way to scrub the DB so EE starts fresh wo any of the prior information from the other site? We wanted the front end to be exactly the same but start EE registration application from scratch.
Before moving forward, create a database backup for your site (just to be safe).
Then on the site you want to reset, go to Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> Reset/Delete Data.
Clicking the ‘Permanently Delete ALL Event Espresso Data’ button to drop all EE tables and reset the config back to how it would be if you initially installed Event Espresso on that site.
perfect – thats great Tony. So it looks like there are some textual strings that stayed behind like categories and the application name etc… is that normal and OK? just want to make sure there were no errors or anything. but it looks OK.
Thanks for getting back to us!
Yes, everything should be removed when Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> Reset/Delete Data is executed. Just make sure to re-save your Permalinks under the Dashboard > Settings.
I checked and yes that’s normal, the above function drops EE tables but some data for entities that exist with the wp tables can remain.
