Hello, we would like to offer one ticket that is required at one price with additional tickets at a different price. I would really like to make available one ticket for the required ticket and up to ten at the secondary price that is not required. Also, I would like to change the language under the reguired ticket. Instead of, “This ticket is required and must be purchased.” I would like “Early Birds can purchase one Season Pass at $159, and additional Season Passes can be purchased below at $149). How can I do this? Can I do this? Here is a link: |

Hi there, Yes, you can do this. On your required ticket, click the cog icon (), you already have it set to be required, but set the ‘Maximum Quantity’ fields to 1. That now sets the ticket to be required and only a qty of 1 can be selected on that ticket. On the additional ticket, you can set that field to 10, which will then only allow 10 to be selected. Now, that already means that you have 11 possible tickets in a single transaction and EE sets up the event to default to only allow 10. So set the ‘Maximum number of tickets allowed per order for this event’ field to the total number of tickets you want to allow in a single transaction – https://monosnap.com/file/wwWhlVs5fqzBvIJRt64VxJA886tevc Setting a value of say 20, in the above example would allow you to select 1, required ticket, 10 additional and then 9 Regular if they were all available.
Are the only events that will use required tickets going to be set up in the same way? There’s a filter for that text So you can alter the text using a snippet like this: https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/5a394be56ef24d3a41efe98bd2eda760 Set the ‘This ticket is required.’ text to whatever you prefer and you can add that to a custom functions plugin on your site, we have some documentation on creating one here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-site-specific-plugin-wordpress-site/ |
