We have some events with a lot of questions that also allow multiple registrants at a time. When they don’t fill in a required field and click on “Proceed to Payment Options” it appears to them that nothing happens.
This is because there is no notice near the button, only by the question that was not filled in. Can I recommend a small UI enhancement to add a notice near the button (or scroll to the top of the page and add the notice there) that lets users know there are fields that need to be filled in?
This issue has really impaired registration for one of our programs. Thanks!
I see that now, though earlier today I managed somehow to not get it to show up. Also, when you click on “Proceed to Payment Options” after you’ve canceled the popup notice, it won’t show again.
Okay, so if you tab through a required field, it gives the inline notification but will not show the popup reminder when you click to go on. Just a suggestion to have that function fire every time somebody clicks to move on. Would be a nice help.
Yes that’s it. The inline validation does work fine, it appears as it’s supposed to. However, when the question that isn’t answered is above the top of the screen, the popup doesn’t appear and our older users haven’t been figuring it out.
Thanks for the feedback Jonathan. I created an enhancement ticket for this.
