We have a registration form issue where if a registrant skips correctly entering their STATE and hits the submit form they are directed back to fill in this required field, which all functions correctly, however when you select the STATE drop menu it remains blank with all the states previously listed now removed, and you are unable to edit this field at all, or complete the registration.

The State field will actually pull from the value of the Country field. So for example if the Country field has “Australia” selected, then only states from Australia will be selectable in the State field. Since there are a number of Country options there on your site that are not countries (and therefore do not have states) then no options will appear if an invalid “Country” is selected.
This can be fixed by making a note of the invalid/duplicated Country options, then you go to Event Espresso > General Settings > Countries. Then you select one of the non-valid Country options there, and set it to not appear on front end dropdown lists. Then save, then repeat for other options.
