Hi,

I have started making use of the All Registrations CSV Report. I download it and feed it into the excellent Business Intelligence tool Qlik Sense and it works very well for me to understand registrations and plan for events. Thank you!

I have a couple of requests:

1) The field Time registration occurred[REG_date] – this is output in the format:
August 1, 2014 9:11 pm

This format is often hard to parse by other software and depends upon the local name for the month, etc. I would like to request that this be output in the SQL date time format:
2014-08-01 21:11

This has the advantages:
a. It is still human readable.
b. It is independent of local names for the month.
c. It will import easily into Excel.
d. It is unambiguous to parse by other software.

2. The registration report does not include the total number of tickets that were still available at the time of registration. My real requirement is that as of right now, I want to know:
a. how many tickets are sold
b. how many tickets are still available for that event and ticket. This could be included in the registration report, or you could create a new event report that would include the following rows and columns:
Event, Ticket Name, Qty, Sold

The Available Tickets section of the Event description contains these values.

Thanks!

P.S. To anyone interested in BI analysis, I can recommend the free tool Qlik Sense which easily imports the Event Espresso Registrations Report:

I discovered one more field that needs to have the timestamp format changed: Datetimes of Ticket

this is also in the format of August 12, 2014 7:00 pm

Hi Kevin,

Those points are very convincing. The date format is based on your WordPress date and time format settings so you could use that as a workaround (its quicker than converting the dates after downloading):

1) Open two browser tabs with one for the WordPress general settings page and the other for a screen of registrations for a specific event

2) Then adjust your date and time format settings like this and save:

3) Switch to the other browser tab and then download the report. Then you can restore your original date and time format settings in the other browser tab.

I’ll ask for a filter in an enhancement ticket for overriding this option.

On your second request, I’m not sure about but I’ll ask for feedback and then share that here.

Hi Kevin,

The new default formatting for the Registrations CSV report is to use the SQL date format and is available in the current version of Event Espresso 4:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/

If any members would prefer to use the date format and time format that is set in WordPress settings (old default formatting), then you can use this sample code:
