Dear Event Espresso support team,

I am currently trying to set up and test 2 events on my site
https://australiandiscoveryorchestra.com

The event is published but not accessible through the navigation.

From testing and confirmation emails received (registration and tickets) a Twitter button shows up even though we have not added any twitter handles in the general settings.

We have added the face book profile link (which works) and we would like to get rid of the Twitter button and maybe add our Instagram.

After research on the forums I can not find a way to fix this. I cannot find the Connect with us shortcode in the templates and don’t know how to set it up differently.

So could you please send me a detailed description where exactly I can fix this, get rid of the Twitter button in the emails and possibly add an Insta button?

Kind Regards,
Kevin Purcell

Hi Kevin,

Those buttons are within the message templates themselves.

Go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message Templates (assuming you aren’t using custom templates?)

Find the ‘Registration Approved’ message type in the list and click on the ‘Edit Registrant’ link.

In the main content section you’ll find the ‘Connect with us’ section at the bottom:

https://monosnap.com/file/XBrvjFXp19nS1Puzg3Tx8WPgLz5Bp4

Remove the twitter button from that section, you may need to switch to text mode (the tabs at the top right of the main content section) and remove this line:

<a class="soc-btn tw" href="[CO_TWITTER_URL]">Twitter</a></td>

There is also another section for the event in question:

https://monosnap.com/file/TzXQcZsBk3aZkPWTzjd6UD2rnikfBk

Same there although again you may need to use text mode and delete:

<a class="soc-btn tw" href="[EVENT_TWITTER_URL]">Twitter</a>

(or swap them out for Instagram)

Then save.

That should remove/swap the twitter button.

Is that what you are looking for?
