I have tickets that I need to remove completely. I created new tickets, moved the existing registrations from the archived/locked ticket to the new, correct ticket successfully, but when I tried to go back and remove the now empty, archived/locked ticket, it is unsuccessful. I tried a similar method to what I found you suggested originally and it didn’t work, but then found this from your support: https://gist.github.com/lorenzocaum/68d5029ebd0311559a2a.

I followed the directions exactly and the ticket becomes unlocked after editing the ticket in the database, but when I try to trash/delete it in EE admin, it just locks the ticket again and does not remove it. It shows 0 sold, 0 reserved, but does show 2 registrations (“regs”) in the admin side.

Can you advise on how to remove this old ticket in a manner other than what we’ve already attempted?

Hi,

When you move a registration to a new ticket, it doesn’t actually delete the original registration. What it does instead is cancel the original registration (sets its status to “Cancelled”) and a new registration is added to the new ticket.

It sounds like you want to also delete the cancelled registrations, then delete that original archived ticket.

Hi Josh, Yes thank you. Further into it I was able to delete the cancelled tickets. The ticket still showed 4 under Reg, so as i understand it this is where the reset ticket counts would come in. So I ran that and we kept getting a timeout error. I’m on WP Engine. I could check with my host tech support about that, but though i would ask here too. We needed to solve the problem ASAP so I created a new event with exact same details, moved the registrants over to this new class I created and just hid the other event from users on the front end. Still have trouble deleting these unused events now because the tickets still have data attached and can’t use the reset ticket counts feature. Any general idea on why the timeout we could look into?

Hi,

The reset ticket count button will not delete tickets shown under Reg. You would need to trash/delete the registrations.
