For the life of me I cant get any EE theme to look right. On my registration pages for example, sentences are cut off, spacing is odd and it looks extremely amateurish. If however I register an attendee myself via admin, it all looks perfect. My conclusion is that the EE styling is over-riding the WP styling. Is this right? If so how do I stop/over-ride this and just keep the WP settings? Thanks in advance.
That’s not exactly correct. The front end of your website is styled by your active WordPress theme, whereas the admin part of your website is styled by WordPress core. Event Espresso provides minimal styling that can be removed by uploading a blank espresso_default.css file to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/css. If the themeroller option is enabled in Event Espresso>Template settings, additional styling is added, and this option can be disabled there.
If removing all Event Espresso styling doesn’t improve things, you might try switching to another WordPress theme.
Thanks Josh for your quick reply, i’m new to this so still trying to work out whats going on, i’m sending heaps of question up as my wife has a conference going live in a week and I gotta get this right!!
Any WP theme I try doesn’t look good. Do you know how to just use the core styling? Btw I have the EE themeroller options off. Thanks again!
It turns out that WordPress core does not style the front end of the website. Although the themes that start with the word “twenty” are included with WordPress core. So you could try one of those.
