Remove promo code from individual tickets within an event but not all tickets

Hi! We have an event where we are offering a regular ticket and a group discount ticket. We’re also running a promo code for the same event which is a better deal than the group discount off the regular price. We had a customer buy a group discount but used the promo code as well and so they ended up getting a huge discount. Can I remove the promo code from the group discount ticket but keep it for the regular ticket? Hope this makes sense. Thank you!!

Hi there,

Officially Event Espresso promotions apply per event and you can set them to apply to specific tickets within that event.

However, a few people have requested something like this and we have a couple of work around which may work for you. It sounds like your asking for the same setup as this user:

Will work for your needs here.

It removes the Promotion code field from the checkout if specific ticket ID’s are in the cart (you need to set the ticket ID’s within the code).
