Hi, I’m experiencing an odd problem that is causing a pop-up message that says “Payment Settings Updated! Authorize.net AIM payment settings initialized.” on every event registration page. I’d like to remove this notification but can’t find it in the settings. I’ve tried resaving the settings for the payment gateway in the backend with no change. Any help would be very appreciated! Thanks! WordPress Version: 4.0.1 |
Hi, Try deactivating all Event Espresso plugins through WordPress admin (WP dashboard) –> Plugins. Then reactivate those plugins through WordPress admin –> Plugins. Then browse to Settings –> Permalinks to refresh your permalinks. Let us know if the issue continues. Thank you. — |

Thanks Lorenzo. I tried this and still see the same message. Shall I try deactivating the plugins one at a time? |

I just went through and deactivated and refreshed permalinks on each deactivation with no change. The message is still there. |
Hi there, Could you please create a temporary WordPress admin login so we can take a closer look at this issue? Please share that temporary login through the secure link below: To prevent delays in troubleshooting, be sure to double check your information on the form before submitting. The submit button for the form appears at the end of the form. Again, please ensure that the temporary login works. Thank you. — |

Hi there, The Payment Settings Updated message shouldn’t ever display on the events pages, that’s why there isn’t an option to turn this message on or off. If it’s possible for you to do so, can you send a database dump of the wp_options table to our support email address. Our support email address is support AT eventespresso.com. The payment settings are stored in the wp_options table and if we can look at what’s stored for the payment settings it may help to narrow down the cause of this. Alternatively, someone from support staff can investigate if you can fill out the form on this page completely: |

Hi Jon and Lorenzo, I’ve sent the creds to Lorenzo through the form. If necessary I’ll do a database dump at a later time. Thanks! Jeff |
Hi Jeff, It looks like you missed the FTP form fields, so we’re not able to do much investigating with what you sent. Can you send a db dump of the options table? What I could find is a bit strange is there are a few additional fields in the Authnet gateway settings. Which may be why the Payment Settings keep updating. Were there any customizations made to the Authnet gateway when EE3 was used on this site? If so, is there any Authnet gateway code in the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways folder? |
|
By the way, you can deactivate the Remove extra editor buttons plugin and the EE3 social media plugin. Those only work with EE3 and don’t do anything for EE4. There is a new social sharing plugin available for EE4 as well. |

I’ve resent the form with the FTP creds. Had to reset the WordPress login. The vestigial plugins have been deactivated. I’ve also sent an email with the DB dump to support with the subject title “TX CEO Magazine DB dump” I checked that folder and found it empty. I believe we did use an Authorize.net gateway extension for our very first build of Event Espresso, but haven’t dealt this that in our last two builds. |
If anyone else runs into this issue, here’s how you can fix it: Deactivate the gateway |
