My event registration page is accessed by having someone click a link to the page, but suddenly this is not working and they get re-directed to a default page saying “This is somewhat embarrassing… it seems we can’t find what you’re looking for…”
A few days ago, this was working fine, and I have not made any changes to any pages or plugins (except maybe updating?) on the site. But now, for some strange reason, the link to the event registration is giving this error.

I don’t have a lot of plugins, and no secure socket layer or shopping cart plugins. We are just using Paypal.
I use WordFence for security, but not the paid version.

Hi there,
The first step to try is flushing your permalinks.
Go to Dashboard -> Settings -> Permalinks.
Which option is selected within the permlinks settings?
Make no changes and just save the settings, then retest.

Good news!
I did what you said: went to the permalinks settings, noted that the option selected was “post name,” didn’t make any changes but then clicked “save changes.”
When I went to the active site and clicked the link, it is working fine!
