We have set events to “Approved”in the Default Settings”, but we are finding that some of the registrations are ending up as Payment Pending. This means that they don’t end up triggering the Registration Approved email. We checked the actual events themselves and they are set to Approved. Not sure why this might be happening?
Registrations will only update to the Default Registration Status (DRS for short) when they finalize the registration by selecting a payment method and clicking finalize so if you users stop before that they will stay as Pending Payment.
If you go to Event Espresso -> Registrations and find one of these registrations in the list, then click on the TXN Date value to load the transaction.
Below the line items is a link to load the session details, click that, does it show the finalize step was ‘Never Initiated’.
It may be worth adding a note to our checkout page informing users they must select a payment method and finalise to try and prevent that from happening.
