http://doc-events.com/RHS2013_italy/ This registration doesn’t register in IE but works in any other browser. It is live web so please help us as soon as you can. Thank, Francesco |
Hi Franceso, It looks like there are JavaScript errors on the page. Other browsers may be more fault tolerant of this, but IE may be less so. I would start with eliminating one of the loaded jQuery libraries. The jQuery library should only be loaded up on the page one time, not two times. Here is a screenshot of the source of the registration page showing the two instances of jQuery: It may be that the theme isn’t properly enqueueing jQuery. This comes up from time to time, and we wrote up a post in our blog about how to address this: |

Hi Franceso, We offer priority support if you purchase support tokens. I would recommend sending us temporary WP admin credentials and temp. FTP credentials if you decide to purchase priority support. I don’t think this is something that can be fixed over a telephone call. You can purchase priority support here: You can send credentials via our contact form here: https://eventespresso.com/contact/ Select the “I am sending login info as requested” department form. |

I got the token already… What will be the next step? Francesco |

We are doing some testing, if you register in IE the registration take the data to the database, but the confirmation email to the register nor to the admin and the confirmation page after submitting the form, is not the confirmation page that we have created. Francesco |
Hi Francesco, I reinstalled a fresh copy of Event Espresso 3.1.27.P (the version that is currently installed on your site) and renamed the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates directory to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates-old and now the registration goes through as expected in Internet Explorer 9. There was likely something in the customizations that were made to the registration, confirmation, or payment templates that was breaking this. Since some of the templates files had been altered and even emptied in event-espresso/templates, I installed the fresh copy of Event Espresso. The old version is still there in case you need it, the plugin folder has been renamed to event-espresso-old. I left a note in the plugin info that will display on the plugin manager page to not deactivate this older version. You’ll likely want to go through your customizations and reapply some of them if need be. Here are a few tips I can share about modifying templates: 1) Only copy over the templates you need to modify to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates. If you copy all of them, it will be very difficult to maintain when upgrading. One other thing that I changed: In the theme settings, there was an option enabled to disable WordPress autoP formatting. I turned that option off because disabling autoP formatting can break the Event Espresso shortcodes. |

Thanks Josh, |
That will require the purchase of another support token to do this, the 30 minutes are up. It’s fairly straight forward though: 1) Deactivate Event Espresso. |

Thanks. We will try to re-install it as per your instructions. Quick question (not sure if I can ask here r open a new thread): |
This is possible in Event Espresso 3.1.29.1. If you decide to upgrade, please see this post before upgrading: |
