Hello, I’m working on the event espresso 4.4.8. For my event registrations, the system is saving contact info–Name, Last Name, Email, and Address…but for some reason it is reading the “system question” of phone number as an “added on question.” I would like to not have to manually associate the phone number with all my contacts and assumed that since it was a system question, that I would have this problem. Please help? Thanks- C

I looked this morning, and actually–the system question “phone number” doesn’t even appear in my Question Groups. I don’t understand how to fix this problem. Please help. People are registering for class and I need their phone number and want it to by a system question so that it saves their contact info. Thanks.

So Just to Clarify, The system question “phone number” appears in my questions. But when I go to put it in my one Question Group (or any question group for that matter), it does not exist as an option.

Hi Cara,

The system question ‘Phone Number’ is a part of the system question group ‘Address Information’

Currently EE4 does not allow users to move system questions into other groups in order to keep the system question groups consistently. You can add custom questions to those groups, but system questions can only be assigned to their original system question group.

So in order to use the System Question ‘Phone Number’ you would need to require the System Question Group ‘Address Information’ for your attendees – http://take.ms/4CrTJ

You could uncheck all of the other address questions within that group, leaving only Phone number, then rename the group to ‘Contact info’, like so – http://take.ms/e9inK

However doing so would then prevent you from capturing full address information if needed on another event.

Current registrations that have used the custom phone number question, will not transfer that number to the contact, this will need to be done manually.

Hi Cara,

They changed the Phone question to allow for moving it to the Personal Information group. This change is included in Event Espresso 4.6.15.p, along with some other fixes and enhancements.
