Hi, When someone registers for a class on this page: http://www.dogtrainersworkshop.com/event-registration/?regevent_action=register&event_id=96&name_of_event=Beginner%20Class the payment is not received before the registration form is submitted. Is there a way to make sure payment is received at the same time the form is submitted to us? Please reply to our Marketing Company attention Susanne at susanne@peculiar.co. (not .com) Thank you. |
Hi the registration needs to be added before a payment can be linked to a registration. However, if you are having an issue with registrations taking up available slots for attendees/registrants, then you can set the default payment status to incomplete. Go to WordPress admin –> Event Espresso –> General Settings. Then scroll down and find the option for default payment status: http://cl.ly/image/3T1x3k3J2L0z Set it to incomplete and save changes. — |

Hello, The option that I shared earlier is a global setting. You can also set this on a per event basis using the Event Editor: https://monosnap.com/image/GLsQiYWyaai5ssKTtDA94NKXPqNsxJ — |

Hello, I am having this problem as well (people are registering, then dropping off when choosing a payment method). I am not sure how setting default status to incomplete will solve this. Won’t it just make it so that I have to approve every single registration? Thank you. |
Hi Carolyn,
No, that is another feature – ‘Attendee Pre-Approval’. The registration status determines (amongst other things) whether or not the attendee should be included within the event attendee list/limit. Incomplete registrations do not apply to the event. Complete registrations do. So if you set the default to ‘Incomplete’ they do not count towards the event until payment is made, Event Espresso 3 automatically updates the registration status once the payment is complete. The attendee then applies to the event. Say you have an event with a limit of 10, its possible to have multiple incomplete registrations but none will apply to the limit until the attendee has paid. What you can do is set the Registration email not to be sent until Payment is complete. You can do this via Event Espresso -> General Settings. Under Email Settings you’ll find ‘Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?’, set that to No and save the settings. Then users will only receive a confirmation email once payment is complete. Does that help? |

Yes Tony, that does help. Thank you. Carolyn |

On more question — If someone with an incomplete registration tries to register again, what happens? Carolyn |
Hi Carolyn, If they start over, then the process would repeat itself as if is was a new registration. — |
