When registering for an event, free or paid, I can run through step 1 to choose a ticket, step 2 to enter personal info, but when I click on the ‘Proceed to Payment” button or for a free event the ‘Proceed to Finalize Registration’ button, it simply reloads the registration page and loses the template layout, including the header. This just started recently, and I can’t figure it out. It was working a week ago. I have turned off all non-essential plugins and still have the issue. The site uses Elementor pro, with Espresso 4.10.13 https://afccontario.ca/events/2021-annual-conference-2/ This is urgent, as this organization has a conference coming up and they have advertised for people to register. |

I’ve done more testing. It seems that if I’m a logged-in member, the process works fine. It runs through all 3 steps including payment options. However, as a non-member, and therefore not logged in, it doesn’t go beyond step 2 of the registration process. When I select a non-member ticket option, the issue arises. I’ll continue t troubleshoot. |

Hi there, This can happen when using the checkbox reCaptcha and your server has allow_url_fopen disabled. If you go to Event Espresso -> Registration Form -> Reg Form settings. Set ‘Use reCaptcha’ to No and save and retest. Do registrations work then? If it does, then I recommend switching to Invisible ReCaptcha. Create a new v2 key here: https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin/create Select ‘Invisible reCaptcha badge’ and work through the settings. Then add that new key to your site and retest. It should work then as the Invisible Recpatch integration does not require allow_url_fopen. |

Thank you. Yes, that did make the form work again. However, I did have the correct keys for reCaptcha invisible. I turned it back on, switched it to invisible, and now get this error: “An error has occurred: We’re sorry but an attempt to verify the form’s reCAPTCHA has failed. Missing “g-recaptcha-response”. Please try again.” Should I change the reCAPTCHA keys to a visible image type and change the form settings? |

Hi again, I’ve tried invisible and regular box style reCAPTCHA through Google. Each time, I changed the keys to ensure it was correct. No matter what settings, reCAPTCHA breaks the form so I cannot advance to step 3, payment. Would like to secure the form though, if you have any suggestions. |

Hmm strange. Ok, so on Registration Form -> Reg Form Settings You have your settings like this? https://monosnap.com/file/7kAo2s51hP1ewbO59ZNcQcH3S4DYnB (Note you may not have ‘Ticket Selector’ selected for reCaptcha protection) And the reCpatcha keys you are using show ‘reCAPTCHA type:v2 Invisible’ in the Google admin? If so, ycan you reEnable reCaptcha on the site and let me know when it’s enabled so I can run a test registration again, please? |
