Good afternoon! Our client has a few questions regarding the functionality of the Event Espresso plugin.

• Are we able to charge a set amount for registration, then let the client choose as many events as they want? Would they also be able to go in and change registration times without being charged again?

• Can the registration be set-up to ask “Are you registering for someone else?” If yes, have the ability to set-up a registrant, then ask “Do you have more people to register? If yes, continue until all people are registered allowing one payment.

• Are individuals able to set their own password when they make their username? Currently, attendees would get a link sent to them to make their password and many people said they never received the password or it went to their spam.

• Can schedules be auto-generated?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Are we able to charge a set amount for registration, then let the client choose as many events as they want?

No.

Well, actually yes, but what you would do is use a membership plugin to charge the user a membership fee and then the tickets within Event Espresso would nee to be made free. You can set a capability on the tickets so that only the users with a membership can purchase them.

It’s not a feature of Event Espresso but can work with memberships and capabilities.

Would they also be able to go in and change registration times without being charged again?

The user can not change registrations date/times themselves, they need to contact the admin to move them to a different event.

Or am I misunderstanding your question?

Can the registration be set-up to ask “Are you registering for someone else?” If yes, have the ability to set-up a registrant, then ask “Do you have more people to register? If yes, continue until all people are registered allowing one payment.

No, at least not in the exact way you are requesting.

Officially EE doesn’t support a separate ‘purchaser’ in that the ‘primary registrant’ (the first registration in a group) is considered an attendee and purchaser combined. What you can do (but I’m not sure if it will work for your use case) is create a ‘Billing Information’ question group that the user must add details to and then tell EE to send the payment related Emails to the values they provided in those questions.

The ‘If yes, continue until all people are registered allowing one payment.’ part can be done within a single group, in that you can ask the primary registrant for the billing details and then any additional tickets is just the primary registrant, but its not ‘add more registrations’ type setup, you select X amount of tickets first and then provide all of the details for that number of tickets in a single group.

I can provide more details on how to set that up, but will that work for you?

Are individuals able to set their own password when they make their username? Currently, attendees would get a link sent to them to make their password and many people said they never received the password or it went to their spam.

Possible yes, but you’ll need customizations to do that.

The current method of creating a user and then WordPress sending our the link to create a password is the WP recommend method.

Can schedules be auto-generated?

I’m not sure what this means, can you add some more details?
